📧 How to Request Account Deletion
To delete your Chart Ding account and all associated data, please contact us:
- Send an email to: admin@chartding.com
- Subject line: "Delete My Account"
- Include: The email address associated with your Chart Ding account
🗑️ What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, we will permanently remove:
- Account credentials - Your email and password
- All alarm settings - Interval alarms, market alarms, and custom alarms
- Cloud sync data - All synced preferences and settings
- User profile data - Display preferences, clock configurations, and profiles
- Custom sounds - Any custom alarm sounds you uploaded
- Subscription references - Local references to your subscription status
📋 What We Keep (Required by Law)
For legal and compliance purposes, we retain:
- Basic transaction records - Retained for 90 days for tax and legal compliance
- Anonymized usage logs - For security and fraud prevention purposes (no personal identifiers)
- Payment history - Managed by our payment processor (Stripe) according to their retention policy
Note: We do not store credit card information. All payment data is securely handled by Stripe.
⏱️ Processing Time
We will process your deletion request within 7 business days and send you a confirmation email when complete.
Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before requesting deletion.
💡 Alternative: Just Cancel Your Subscription
Don't need to delete everything? You can keep your account and just cancel your subscription to downgrade to the Free tier.
This allows you to:
- Keep your alarm settings and preferences
- Continue using Chart Ding with Free tier limits (3 interval alarms)
- Reactivate your subscription anytime
