Chart Ding is sold as a subscription, billed monthly or yearly. This page explains when a payment can be refunded, how to ask, and what happens afterwards.
If you bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store rather than from us directly, that store handles the refund — see section 6.

Every plan is a recurring subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until it is cancelled.
Older plans. Some accounts hold a lifetime or three-year plan bought before 13 September 2026. Those are not sold any more, but they are honored in full and are covered by section 5.
You can cancel at any time, from Your plan in your account.
A yearly subscription can be refunded in full within 14 days of the payment, provided the paid features have not been used heavily in that time.
A monthly subscription is not refunded for the month already paid for. Cancel it and the next payment stops — you keep everything in your plan until the end of the month you have paid for, and nothing further is taken.
After the 14 days, a refund on a yearly subscription is considered case by case. We look at it properly rather than pointing at a rule — see section 9.

If the purchase was made through an app store, that store holds the money and we cannot refund it ourselves.
If the store declines and you think it should not have, write to us anyway. We cannot reverse their decision, but we can often help another way.

That is enough. You do not need to justify yourself at length.
We aim to reply within two to three business days. If we approve a refund it is sent back to the card or account that paid, and it usually appears within five to ten business days — the exact timing is the bank's rather than ours.
Please write to us before disputing it with your bank. A chargeback takes weeks, locks the money while it runs, and usually suspends the account while it is open. We can almost always take care of the same problem in a couple of days.
Send us the date and the last four digits of the card and we will find it.
Rules cannot cover everything, and these are the cases where we do not just apply them.
A technical problem. Tell us first and give us a chance to fix it. If we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we refund you, however long ago you paid.
It was not what you expected. Inside the 14 days in section 4, and with the paid features barely used, we will normally say yes without an argument. On a monthly plan, cancelling is usually the quicker answer — it is one month and it stops there.
Difficult circumstances. If something has happened that makes the subscription the wrong thing to be paying for, tell us. We would rather find something that works than hold you to a date.
Repeated requests. We may decline where the pattern suggests the refund route is being used as a way to keep using the product without paying for it.
A discounted payment is refunded at the amount actually paid, not the usual price.
A redemption code grants access rather than being a purchase, so there is nothing to refund when one expires. Codes are not exchangeable for money.
Moving to a different plan is not a refund and does not need one. When you upgrade part-way through a period you have already paid for, the unused part of that payment is credited against the new plan at checkout.
A refund includes any tax you paid on the original charge.
